about me

i have no formal financial training.  instead i came to a point in my life where i was tired of being broke.  i didn’t wanna wait tables anymore.  i didn’t wanna always worry about money.  i found myself, in my mid-late-30s, with a negative net worth, almost no money in the bank, a mound of student loan debt,  and certainly nothing saved for my future.  on one specific day, i realized i was sick and tired of being poor and i made the decision to change my financial world forever.  in the decade or so since, i  not only have succeeded, but i’ve found myself helping others do the same, over and over again.  with the encouragement of a few close friends and family members, i started this blog and moneymanmichael was born.  my goal is to help you, just as i helped myself, get to a better financial place.  and in there somewhere is a little more peace…a little room to breathe…a little happiness in knowing that all the money stuff really can get better.
